Abbotsford and Mission women will join with the world to celebrate International Women’s Day on Saturday, March 8th, in the old Post Office in downtown Historic Abbotsford. The Women’s Resource Society of the Fraser Valley (WRSFV) is encouraging all Abbotsford and Mission female artists, artisans, crafts women, textile artists, writers, singers, and dancers to participate in this celebration, entitled MOSAIC.
The celebration will be a day-long event with an Arts and Crafts Faire during the day from 9:30 am – 4:30 pm, and reading and performing arts during the evening Coffee House from 7:00 – 9:00 pm.
Any woman wishing to participate in either the Crafts Faire or the Coffee House should call to request a registration form. The registration form may also be accessed via our website at www.wrsfv.ca.
Annually, on March 8th, thousands of events are held throughout the world to inspire women and celebrate their achievements. A rich and diverse fabric of local activity, ranging from political rallies to fashion parades, connects women from all around the world.
To reserve a space in this event, please call Pam or Michele at WRSFV at 604-820-8455 or 604-302-8324. The deadline to reserve is February 29th. There is no charge for participants, but each must supply her own display table.
The Crafts Faire is a free event and the Coffee House is admission by donation. Please come out and support the talent of our local women.
